Case Studies

"Passion, discipline and dedication are the watchwords of being successful – not only in this industry but also in being a better human."

Former construction learner Oluwagbemi Oladimeji is working towards his dream of becoming an interior designer, specialising in kitchen and bathroom design, having successfully completed a course in Wall and Floor Tiling at LS College.

Oluwagbemi is now studying for a diploma in interior design and has also secured a job working as a tiler for Optima Site Solutions. This role, which he manages alongside his studies, is enabling him to gain valuable experience which he believes will help him fulfil his career ambitions.

“My goal is to become a kitchen and bathroom designer,” explains Oluwagbemi, “so studying wall and floor tiling at the College was the logical step for me. I learnt how to use different tiling tools and how to tile walls and floors independently. At the same time, the College helped to build my courage and boost my confidence.”

The course also gave Oluwagbemi the vital skills he needed to secure his job with Optima Site Solutions, which he describes as “one of the proudest moments of my career so far.”
