"The course tutors are amazing and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have got this job."

Stephanie Marshall, 25 and from Charlton (south-east London), is now working in her dream job. Having wanted to embark on a work-related course, Stephanie found just what she needed with the Resort Rep programme at Lewisham Southwark College.

As part of the qualification, Stephanie and a group of students visited the Kuoni offices in Dorking, Surrey, where she was able to speak to Kuoni staff about vacancies.

“I gained a lot of confidence and courage from training at Lewisham Southwark College, which encouraged me to be assertive and ask if I could forward my CV for job opportunities at Kuoni UK,” she explains.

Stephanie had an interview and successfully got a job in autumn 2013 as a Destination Representative for Kuoni UK in the Maldives.

She says: “It’s very hard work, and long hours, but I keep myself really organised and up-to-date. Then I get some time for myself to enjoy this amazing place ... I love it! This is the best job ever and I feel like I’m living the dream!

Stephanie is also thankful to her tutors at the College: “The course tutors are amazing and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have got this job.”
