Production Arts

Have you considered a career as a set designer costume maker prop maker scenic artist stage manager or maybe you prefer lighting sound projection design? Then our one-year Production Arts course is for you. Our exciting course will help you to develop a range of creative and technical production skills required for the theatre and live performance industry. This qualification allows you to explore develop and test your creativity as a theatre maker creative practitioner or technical operator. The University of Arts London Level 3 qualification is the equivalent of 1.5 A levels and a highly recommended route into the industry via Higher Education in your backstage specialism.

    Entry Requirements

    4 GCSE qualifications at grades 9-4 including English Language or a creative subject - Level 2 vocational qualification and a Level 2 English qualification Additional information: We would like to see a portfolio evidence of creative coursework or how you develop your technical and creative idea. If you are accepted onto this course without a Grade 4 or above in Maths and/or English you will need to re-sit these subjects alongside the vocational qualification.

    Assessment Method

    You will be assessed by a combination of assignments course work observation of practical workshops and a final project.
