Science

This course is designed for individuals interested in the practical applications of biology chemistry and physics. Whether you're passionate about exploring the intricacies of the human body or conducting experiments this course offers something for everyone. It's a hands-on programme that allows you to study a variety of specialist units from all three disciplines of biology chemistry and physics along with maths and English - unless you already have a GCSE in grade 4. You may also participate in work experience and employability sessions along with these qualifications.

    Entry Requirements

    No formal qualifications are required to join the course but a minimum Level 1 English proficiency is recommended. We'll need to see a demonstration of your previous work or a commitment to studying.

    Assessment Method

    Throughout the course you will compile a portfolio of work to showcase your growing knowledge in science. You'll also have the chance to enhance your literacy and numeracy skills while working towards gaining a qualification that acknowledges your accomplishments. We provide additional learning support where required to help you succeed in the course.

    Aims of the course

    This course is a great option for those interested in Applied Science and aspire to pursue a career as a Science Technician through further vocational qualifications at a higher level. It provides a foundation for entering the world of science and technology.

    Successful students may advance to the Level 2 Applied Science qualification opening up even more opportunities for future career development.
