Advice Lewisham

Advice Lewisham helps with a range of support services, including debt, housing, and legal advice. Reach them at 0800 231 5453 for guidance.

Athena Lewisham

Barnardo's Helpline (For Ukraine Refugees)

Barnardo's offers support to Ukrainian families in the UK, including advice on housing, healthcare, education, and employment. Available Monday–Friday, 10am–8pm, and Saturday 10am–3pm at 0800 148 8586.

Brook Young People's Information Service

Brook provides confidential support for young people under 25, including free contraception, pregnancy testing, counselling, and sexual health advice. Visit their website or text for more info.

Childline

Childline offers helpful online tools for young people, including stress relief activities, games, and advice on everything from relationships to mental health. For confidential support, call 0800 1111 or visit their website.

Children’s Society

If you need support with mental and emotional wellbeing, the Children's Society offers guidance and help.

Peabody

Peabody provides support for students through affordable housing, job and skills services, and mental health and wellbeing resources. They offer employment services, apprenticeships, and guidance on personal challenges. Additionally, Peabody has resources specifically for young people, including family and parenting support. Refuge - National Domestic Abuse Helpline

Safe4Me

Safe4Me offers a comprehensive directory of services for young people, parents, and professionals. It provides advice and support on various topics, from health to personal safety.

Shelter Housing Advice

If you're aged 18-25 and need housing advice, contact Shelter at 0330 0536091 for expert guidance.

The Samaritans

Feeling down, anxious, or suicidal? The Samaritans are available 24/7 at 116 123 for urgent, confidential support.

Mental Health and Wellbeing External Support Services

Kooth

Kooth is a free, anonymous online service offering mental health support for young people. You can access professional counselling, advice, and self-help tools through their platform.

Mental Health Support Line (SLaM)

South London and Maudsley offers a 24/7 mental health support line at 0800 731 2864, providing immediate support for individuals in crisis or distress.

SANEline

SANEline offers mental health support and guidance for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Reach them at 0845 767 8000.

SELDOC

SELDOC provides out-of-hours GP services. If you need urgent medical assistance when your GP is closed, call 020 8693 9066.

The Samaritans

Coronavirus update

Lewisham College is closely monitoring all communications and guidance as it becomes available. This information is for students and staff and reflects updates from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Public Health England (PHE). We are prepared to escalate our contingency arrangements in the event of change.
