The YEFEE (Youth Entry to Further Education and Employment) is a full-time 1-year Functional Maths and English study programme for young people ages 16-18. Functional skills are designed to help you develop your Numeracy ICT English reading writing and communication skills to allow you to progress on to further education and to apply them to employment and everyday life. The course has excellent progression routes. We offer 3 different Entry Levels with the aim to help students of all levels develop their skills and confidence in Maths English and ICT. These 3 qualification levels start from beginners upwards. You may start at either Functional Skills Entry level 1 Entry level 2 or Entry level 3. Following the completion of entry 3 you will be eligible to continue to our Pre-GCSE program (Functional Skills Level 1 qualification). You will spend a year on this well-rounded program not only studying towards your Functional Maths and English qualification but you will develop your employability skills in-class and through a suitable work placement. You will advance in your ICT skills and understand the key aspect of vocational studies through vocational taster courses. You will also be supported with tutorials and pastoral care to help you stay on track. As well as all this you will be able to participate in enrichment trips and projects and successfully achieve a qualification in English and maths by the end of the year and progress on to further education training employment or secure a place on one of our vocational courses.

Entry Requirements
Entry Level 3 or GCSE grade 2 in English and or maths or the equivalent assessment results will inform this placement.
Assessment Method
The assessment method is through examinations internally set exams for all Entry Level courses.

To provide the necessary maths and English qualification that will allow excellent progression opportunities to employment training and further study and to develop the numeracy ICT english reading writing and communication skills of individuals.
Progression Opportunities
Upon completion you could choose to progress into higher levels of study in Accounting Apprenticeships Business Catering and Hospitality Construction Health and Social Care Hair and Beauty IT/Digital Sport Creative Arts or Early Years.

This course will be delivered as taught lessons workshops out of classroom visits and in-house guest visitors and workshops.
