Aims of the course
In this course you will develop an awareness and understanding of dementia learn about the person-centred approach to care and support for individuals with dementia understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia explore equality diversity and inclusion in dementia care learn about administering medication to individuals with dementia using a person-centred approach understand behaviour in the context of dementia and discover the benefits of engaging in activities in social care.
Progression Opportunities
Upon successful completion of this course you can progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care or the Level 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England.
