Business support is needed by organisations worldwide. The T Level in Management and Administration is an exciting new programme developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of Business industry and prepares you for work. This course focused on the Business Support is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the dynamic world of business support and administration. This two-year programme is the equivalent of 3 A Levels and combines classroom learning with on-the-job experience in an industrial placement for a minimum of 315 hours. You will develop a strong set of transferable core skills that will equip you for a career in or to go on to do a higher-level apprenticeship or degree. Students who pass all the elements of their T-Level will receive a nationally recognised certificate showing the overall grade achieved and will include the following: An overall pass grade for the T Level shown as pass merit or distinction A separate grade for the occupational specialism shown as pass merit or distinction A separate grade for the core component using A* to E for externally set tests and employer set project.     Entry Requirements

    You will need five GCSEs at grade 5 or above (grade C) including English Language and Maths or equivalent level 2 qualifications. As this is a two-year study programme you must be aged 16 to18 to enrol on this course. Currently T Level courses are only funded for learners who are under the age of 19 at the point of enrolment. You may also be required to undertake an assessment to ensure your suitability ahead of enrolment. If your course requires you to work with young people or vulnerable adults you might be required to successfully secure a DBS certificate for which the college will pay the fee.

    Aims of the course

    T Levels are a brand-new vocational qualification designed to give you all of the skills you need for your future. They're a two-year qualification designed in collaboration with employers to bring classroom lessons and work experience together. On this T Level you'll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a work placement to ensure you develop all of the skills and experience that employers are looking for. T Levels are ideal if you have finished your GCSEs and want the knowledge and experience to get straight into employment an apprenticeship or higher education. Equivalent to 3 A Levels this course is underpinned by the legal and regulatory frameworks for the Business sector and will help you develop the competencies and understanding of the Business environment.

    Progression Opportunities

    Having achieved the equivalent of three A levels you could progress anywhere you want to! On to university to study a higher degree apprenticeship or paid employment. Students can also use this T Level to progress to a related higher level apprenticeship or course of study at a higher level.

Coronavirus update
