The Introductory Award in Accounting will give you a real insight into the world of accounting. The course is perfect for people taking their first step on the career ladder: as well as getting a taste of what it's like to work in a professional environment you will pick up accounting terms and gain additional support with literacy and numeracy. Developed in consultation with employers AAT qualifications will equip you with the key finance skills modern businesses are looking for and are well known and trusted by employers.The course consists of four units: mathematics for accounting essential accounting procedures creating business documents and accounting in a professional environmentOn completion of the course you will be awarded an Introductory Award in Accounting (AAT Access) - Level 1.

    Entry Requirements

    Level 1 qualification in English and Maths or working at a good level of English and Maths as evidenced by GCSE Resultsor initial diagnostic assessments (Adults). You should have basic IT skills.

    Assessment Method

    Candidates must successfully complete online unit assessments and an AAT-set CBA at the end of the course.

    Aims of the course

    To give you an insight into the world of accounting and enable you to get a taste of what it's like to work in a professional environment; to make you familiar with accounting terms; to give you additional support with literacy and numeracy.

    Progression Opportunities

    This qualifications allows learners to progress onto AAT Level 2 and 3.

    This course allows access to online content including e-lectures e-tutorials webinars online activities and online practice assessments. Students will also be able to access library facilities.

    AAT qualifications are trusted by employers because they demonstrate that you have the practical real world skills they need. On successful completion of this course you could apply for internships or volunteering positons in accountancy firms. Coronavirus update
