The BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Public Services is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in a career in the police fire service armed forces or other public service roles. This course will cover the role and responsibilities of public services in society focusing on areas such as teamwork communication skills and health fitness in public services. Learners will also be exposed to real-life problem-solving and be supported in career planning and progression routes.

    Entry Requirements

    The entry requirements for this course are a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 2 including Maths and English.

    Assessment Method

    The assessment methods will include practical skills assignments teamwork and individual presentations.

    Aims of the course

    You will develop transferable skills in self-management managing others and problem-solving.

    Progression Opportunities

    Move onto a Level 2 course or explore entry-level roles in public services.

    Facilities

    The course will be delivered as a mix of outdoor learning for adventurous and fitness activities with theory delivered in a classroom setting.
