Entry Requirements
You must have good communication skills a keen interest in the subject area good dexterity (hand-eye coordination) and an informal chat with a tutor before enrolling. Learners should be working at Level 1 English minimun and Entry 3 for math learners may find this benefitial if they have already achieved a Level 1 qualification in the hair or beauty sector.
Assessment Method
Practical skills will be assessed when carrying out Spray Tan treatment on a model and completion of an end of unit test which will be graded pass or refer. Please note you may be asked to provide your own model. You will also undertake a multiple-choice end of unit test. You will need to attend in a Salon tunic or black top black trousers or leggins attire. A kit is not required for this course but it is recommended to allow you to practice at home. Your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of the course.

Level 2 Award in Skin Tanning Techniques is ideal for anyone wanting to add spray tanning treatment to their current treatment options.
Progression Opportunities
The course provides the opportunity to develop skills to study other short courses such as manicure and nails enhancement courses Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy or level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology.
