Lewisham College hosted a Higher Education Fair last week to give learners the opportunity to speak to university representatives and participate in workshops to help them prepare for their next steps onto Higher Education.
The College welcomed representatives from City, University of London, Coventry University, Goldsmiths University, London Southbank University and Brunel University London, amongst others who were on hand to share information on course options and deliver specialist talks and helpful tips for writing a successful personal statement.
Asfa Sohail, Principal at Lewisham College, said: "At Lewisham College, we go above and beyond to support our learners' development and to help them achieve their ambitions. I hope our Higher Education Fair helped them make an informed decision in preparation for their next steps."
Erin Tungate, City, University of London representative, said: “Today’s event has been an excellent opportunity to engage with Lewisham College learners. Being able to engage with people face-to-face is more important than ever and we’re excited to share information about our courses and talk about the options available to them in higher education.”
Patricia Prado, Accounting learner at Lewisham College, said: "I've had a great experience at College and attending the event has made me more passionate about going to university. I've found out about courses I didn't know existed, and I'm looking forward to applying to university."
